Cala Galera is located in southern Tuscany, about 160 km. north of Rome and about 200 km. south of Pisa.

By car
From Rome take Freeway A12 north to Civitavecchia (70 km.). Then take SS1 Aurelia (Highway 1 Aurelia) north to Pisa. After about 75 km. Take the exit for Orbetello and follow the sign for Porto Ercole (8 km.) and just before you enter Porto Ercole follow the sign for Cala Galera.
From Pisa take SS1 Aurelia (Highway 1 Aurelia) south (Rome). After about 190 km. take the exit for Orbetello and follow the sign for Porto Ercole (8 km.) and just before you enter Porto Ercole follow the sign for Cala Galera.

By train
At Rome Central Station ("Termini") or "Trastevere" train station take a train for Pisa Central Station (from Pisa viceversa) and get off at "Orbetello". The length of the trip is 2 hours from Rome and 2 ½ hours from Pisa.
From the train station in Orbetello either take a taxi to Cala Galera (12 km.) or the local bus to Porto Ercole and get off at the stop for Cala Galera, then it’s one kilometer on foot

By plane
The closest airports are Rome Fiumicino (160 km.) or Pisa (200 km.).
From both airports you must continue the trip either by car or by train (see above).
Train connections from Rome Fiumicino airport to any other train station in Rome are frequent and efficient (25 minutes).
The airport in Pisa is very close to the Central Station (10 minutes by train).
